HUGHES Companies, Inc. (formerly known as the HUGHES Plumbing Utility and Contracting) has contracted for many types of construction projects, from demolition to excavation. We specialize in Underground Utilities inclusive of water, sewer and storm sewer. HC has contracted for jobs as small as $1,000 to current contracts of more than $9 million dollars. HC holds current General Contractor's Licenses in Alabama and Mississippi. We have bonding and bidding capabilities of $10 million dollars for a single project and an aggregate of over $20 million.
HC provides underground services for sanitary sewer installations, force main, booster stations, pump stations, water mains, storm sewers, fiberglass tank installations, onsite wastewater installations, well pointing and sewer by pass pumping. HC, Inc. also provides main line sewer video services up to 60 inches in diameter, jetting and cleaning of main line sewers, storm sewer video services, jetting and cleaning of storm sewers up to 60 inches in diameter.
HC performs Horizontal Directional Drilling up to 20" pipe diameters with lengths up to 2,000', Large Demolition Projects, Site Work, Heavy Civil Construction, Levee Repair/Installations, Dredge Spoil Management Areas, Airport Apron/Airport Taxiway Repairs/Installations, Outfall Structure Installations, Heavy Equipment Rental (including Amphibious Excavators) with/without operators, Mass material hauling, Heavy/Oversized Equipment Transport up to 55tons. Specialized services including Horizontal Directional Drilling up to 20" pipe diameters with lengths up to 2,000', Supplier of Top Soil, Sand, Sand/Clay, Crushed Concrete Aggregates.
HC provides additional services such as day lighting, pot holing, slot trenching and other services where high pressure water and vacuum removal of spoil is performed using Vactor/Vaconn combo trucks in lieu of mechanical excavation. This process assures you that no damage will occur to the underground utilities.
